Why can I only get 10 free tickets?
Each person can get up to 10 free tickets for one event in any 24 hours. Paid tickets aren't limited.
The limit is counted by the email address the tickets go to. It stops one person from claiming a whole free event before anyone else can.
The event page shows it under Free tickets as "Limit 10 free tickets per person", and the box office adds "per 24 hours".
If you hit the limit
You'll see: "Limit 10 free tickets per person for this event, in any 24 hours." Nothing is charged.
- Only free tickets in your basket: the message ends "Try again tomorrow, or ask the organizer."
- Free and paid tickets together: the message ends "Nothing has been charged. Take fewer free tickets, or remove them, and your purchase completes." If the basket is over the limit, the whole basket is declined, not just the free part.
Getting tickets for a group
Each friend can claim their own free tickets with their own email. See Buying tickets for friends.
"Free tickets for this event are being claimed faster than they can be issued"
This means lots of people are claiming at once. Nothing was taken. Wait a moment and try again.
