Can I change the date, capacity or details after I've sold tickets?
Yes, mostly. Details and capacity can change at any time. Once tickets are sold, the date can only move later, never earlier.
Open the event, tap Edit event, make your change and tap Save changes. On a live event, changes show on your page as soon as you save.
What you can change
| What | After tickets are sold |
|---|---|
| Title, description, poster, venue, city | Yes |
| Ticket quantity | Yes. Raise it, or set 0 to stop sales |
| Ticket price | Yes, for new orders only. Earlier buyers keep their price |
| Add a ticket type | Yes |
| Delete a ticket type | No. Set its quantity to 0 instead |
| Start or end time, later | Yes |
| Start or end time, earlier | No |
Moving the date
Change Date and doors and Ends, then save. Once tickets are sold, the date can't move earlier or be cleared. If you try, you'll see: "These dates can't be changed because this event has paid orders or has already been settled. Contact support if the date really has to move."
If the new date is more than 6 months later than the date was when a fan bought, that fan can tap Request a service-fee refund on their ticket. That refund comes from us, not you. Whether fans get the ticket price back is up to your refund policy. See Cancel or postpone an event.
Ticket holders get an email when the date, time, venue or address changes. If you change an event many times, the emails stop after a few in one week; the edit page tells you when that happens.
Stopping sales for a while
To stop selling without changing the event, pause sales. To stop one ticket type, set its quantity to 0 or pause it on the Tickets tab.
